SUMMER 2011 UPDATE

It is hard to believe that June is over, and July is starting!!! We have had a busy last few months!..and we still have so much more to do this summer. I enjoy summers because we get to spend so much time with our family...even if we are living out of suitcases.
The summer started off with Odessa graduation from Kindergarten! She put on such a cute program, about America! It is so hard to believe that she will be in first grade! My little girl is getting so big!
She is also learning how to ride her bike this summer...Adam has been patiently helping her get ready for the memorial race this summer!

Most of June found us in Salt Lake/Idaho Falls! Adam has been doing volleyball camps and we have been lucky to go along and spend some time with family.
We had a chance to go to Star Valley for a few days and enjoy sometime at a family memebers cabin. It was here that I golfed for the first time!!!
We also had a chance to go to the Manti pageant and spend some time in that area!

Addison is still Addison...he is our little entertainer...and just the sweetest two year old...he keeps us laughing with everything he says!

Elijah is growing like a weed....he is five months now...starting to eat solids and has his first tooth coming in...and he loves to babble!

Adam is keeping busy with volleyball camps and I am keeping busy with the kiddos!!!

ELIJAHS BLESSING and ADDISONS 2nd BIRTHDAY PARTY

This year we decided to combine Elijahs blessing with Addison's second birthday, since we were going to have all of our family in town. The weather was snowy on Saturday, and I was worried about how Sunday would turn out, but we lucked out and had tempatures close to 60.

Elijahs blessing went wonderfully...Adam did such a great job, and Addison (armed with marshmellows) was even quiet through the blessing.

After sacrament, we all headed back to the house (about 50 people..which is ALOT in our little home) and had pizza and salad for lunch. It was great that we were able to send the kids outside to play....it freed up the chairs for us adults! After lunch the Addison opened his presents! He was so excited over everything he got! It was so great to see everyone. We truly are blessed with great family and friends, who care enough to travel to come and see us.

ELIJAH BYRAN LONGMORE

Elijah Byran Longmore was born Monday January 24, 2011 at 4:35 PM. He was 20 inches tall, and weighed 7.1 lbs.

We were happy to FINALLY bring him into the world after what seemed to be a VERY long nine months, of throwing up every day and lots of aches and pains.

The Labor and delivery was pretty intense. We had 15 hours of labor, and more then half of that was without progression. Like in Addison's case, the cord was wrapped around Elijah...so it took a little longer then usual to get him out..with the decision of a c-section looming overhead, Adam gave me a blessing, and about 5 minutes later, Elijah literally came flying out....the doctor was running through the door while Elijah was coming out. No one was quite ready for him to come, after waiting all day for him.

He is healthy and happy! We are so blessed to have him a part of our family.

CHRISTMAS 2010

We had a great Christmas at home. We spent the day opening presents, and making dinner and watching movies. The kids were spoiled and so were the parents.

Halloween 2010

This year included two days of playing....
Last night found us at Odessa's school dressing up and having fun at the carnival...and tongight will find us trick or treating with one of Odessa's friends then off to a volleyball game!

September update-

Its crazy to believe that September is over and that we are now in October! Time has really flown by.
We have had a busy month, with lots of school, volleyball and family.

We found out at the beginning of the month that we are going to have another boy...and I think we are planning on naming him Elijah Byran. He is growing just fine, and we are excited for January to come and he will finally be here!

We have had family come out almost every weekend this month...and they are still coming! We love having family in our home, and spending lots of time together...I can never get enough of our family.

We bought a new van last week too....I am now officially a van mom...I think that I will enjoy it despite my oppopsition to it at first.

Volleyball is going well for Adam. SUU is currently 8-8, which is great for them, and they are second in the Summit leauge confrence. We have had lots of fun going to the games and supporting the team.

Odessa is really enjoying school...its great to see her learn and have fun.....

Addison is doing great also...getting bigger every day~

Keven and Sandy's wedding

It has been a few months since I have updated my blog.

We had a fairly busy summer. Adam worked most of the summer doing volleyball camps...the kids and I were able to go on a few with him. We visited family in Idaho Falls, and Salt Lake. We were able to see Keven and Sandy get married a "shot gun" wedding which was a bunch of fun.

Adam and I were also able to get away for our anniversary. We went to Bainbridge Island, WA....and enjoyed a great cottage, midnight kayaking and some amazing gardens.

Pregnancy is going well.....we find out on Tuesday what we are having! We are excited!

Odessa started school, and is loving kindergarten...her favorite part is riding the bus.

Addison is doing well, and is getting smarter and smarter every day. His vocabulary is pretty big, and he can say one of my favorite words...CHEESE!

Adam is busy with coaching the SUU volleyball team, with many days on the road! I wish we could go with him, because we miss him so much when he is gone! ...such is life though!

Goblin Valley

This weekend we went to Goblin Valley this last weekend, and enjoyed a short road trip.
Goblin Valley is in central Utah between Green River and Hanksville. Odessa loved running through the park and climbing on all the Goblins!!!

Addison was born one year ago today! I can not believe how fast time flies! It seems just like yesterday he was born! He is a huge part of our family, and I can't imagine a life without him now! We are so happy to have him with us! We celebrated with pizza, cake and balloons last Saturday!

Addison has been copying sounds for a few months now, and it has been so cute. He has been able to copy mama, dada, and cute sounds he makes with his tongue. Last night he said his actual first word...Bye-Bye! We are very proud parents of our little guy.

This last week the little girl (not so little now) from New York that I used to nanny came out to visit. She is all grown up and is a freshman in college now.

We spent a few days in Vegas.....saw a magic show, and went on the game show "Lets Make A Deal". We also spent a few days exploring Southern Utah....

The highlight of the trip...was Odessa wearing my bra...and singing..."I'm wearing a Bra, BRA-HA!"

DISENYLAND!

We just returned from Dinsey Land with our daughter Odessa and had a blast.

The long lines and tired feet was worth it.

I was really surprised in what Odessa like! She LOVED the rollercoaseters and splash mountain. A year ago, she would have left in tears from those rides, but she had a such a good time. AND of course she was so excited to meet the princesses, especially Tiana, who she was so happy that was there!

Pumpkins!

Odessa, Addison and I headed down to Stahlei farm in St. George last Friday, to get a pumpkin in their pumpkin patch....unfortunatley I did not bring my camera, or my phone, so I was unable to get pictures of the tractor ride, or the pumpkin patch....that didn't have much of a selection anways!-Odessa had to carry the pumpkin out, so I told her she had to pick one that she could lift....needless to say we only got a four pound pumpkin that is a little lopsided!

We decided that we would carve pumpkins for Family Home Evening tonight....

We had some friends come over with their little girl for the activity too!

We ate pizza, and set out to work. Odessa and Adam did most of the work while I fed Addison.

I think they did a pretty good job for the pumpkin we had!

Salt Lake City Trip

We have been very busy in Cedar City the last couple of weeks- with lots of visits from family and friends, preschool starting, gymnastics starting, volleyball in full swing, Shakesperean plays, dentist appointments, and just daily life....it is nice to get away from all the hustle and enjoy some time up in Salt Lake with my family and friends.

Adam is out of town (as usual) so I decided to take the kids up to my parents for a mini labor day getaway.

I have enjoyed the help with the kids, and I think my parents and my sister have enjoyed playing with the kids.

Noey and Odessa played in leaves, made tacos, and watched movies together.

Addison-well he slept and cooed and giggled a lot....which is always fun to be around.

I was able to take a break last night from the kiddos and go to dinner with two great friends last night. We went to Tepenyaki (sp?) which was was YUMMY! I left my father in charge of the kids- The picutre is what happened when I left him in charge...........

I had a great stay, but it is back to Cedar City in a few hours!

FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL

ODESSA STARTED HER FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL TODAY. SHE IS VERY EXCITED TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS AND LEARN NEW THINGS. MY LITTLE GIRL IS GROWING UP! :)

Last night we fed Addison rice cereal for the first time!

It was fun to watch him "TRY" something new. He had about three spoonfuls then he was done!

Bumbos and Mosquitoes!

Odessa has become obsessed with mosquitoes of late. Every time she has an itch, she thinks she has been bitten by a mosquito. She has even been looking for mosquito bites on Adam and I. In the picture she is trying to look for mosquitoes in Adams hair.....AND she is using chopsticks to do the job...she was pretty disappointed when she didn't find any!

Addison is now sitting in his Bumbo seat. We got this as a gift, and I have heard how great it is.....he seems to like it!

Family Vacation

In our busy summer we found time to take a family trip up to Brookings Oregon. Brookings is a quaint little town, that is located on the Pacific Coast. It was quite the change from Utah....I don't think the temps reached higher then 65 degrees! It was cool and foggy! I loved it. We were able to stay at a place called Rainbow Rock with Adam's parents...we explored the beach, and found an amazing cave that was full of crazy rocks and colors! Odessa was able to explore some tide pools and bring home some interesting treasures. It was a VERY long drive- with a newborn, we had to stop a lot more, and the stops seem to be quite a bit longer too. Odessa traveled well....she watched a lot of movies and played with her barbies the whole way.
We were also able to visit the Redwood National Forest, and drive along the California coast....and visit a few light houses.
It was a fun trip, but we are glad to be back home in Cedar City.

OUR ACCOMPLISHEMENTS FOR THE DAY:

JENNY- MOWED LAWN (believe me this is quite a task. Our grass was over a foot long...it was the first time mowing it since we got in the sod. I have not mowed a lawn in a VERY long time...so I was proud of my accomplisment, despite the 12 bags full of grass, sore arms and legs (we have a push mower), stinky body and green hands.)

JENNY AGAIN- SHOPPING AT HOME DEPOT/WALMART- I bought a bunch of "things" for our lawn/garden with the kids in tow....(edger, hose, mulch, extension cord, flowers,..blah blah blah)

JENNY AGAIN-PLANTED FLOWERS!-

ADAM- PUT TOGETHER A SWING SET- Adam put together Odessa and Addison's first swing set. For for hours Adam labored and sweated and cussed his way through the endless directions. The result was worth it though!

Last night I mentioned to Adam that I was excited to go to church at our own ward.....but at 2:00 am....Odessa got sick and I was stuck home with the kids today! The poor little girl threw up about five times, and is just miserable...she is now holding down sprite!(YEAH!)

Addison has been fussy today, which makes me think he is coming down with something too! :( My poor kids!

Adam is gone for the week....traveling for another volleyball camp in Green River WY.

I am not looking forward to having him gone, but I AM looking forward to having a bed all to myself and total control of the remote!

Idaho Falls!

We are in Idaho Falls now! Adam is doing a camp in Black Foot, which is about thirty minutes from here. We are spending the week with some family up here. (My first husbands family lives here) Odessa and Addison are enjoying be loved and cuddled...and did I mention SPOILED.....and I am enjoying just having the help with the kids! WE only get up here about 2-3 times a year...so we take full advantage of the time up here. I am lucky to have so many "parents" that love me and my family.---and I am happy that I remain close to them all!

Blogging!

This is my first real attempt at blogging! I have done some other online journaling, but I have yet to really get into this....so here goes!

Today we left Cedar City and hit the road for our two weeks worth of travel....We are going with Adam as he does his volleyball camps! Our first stop is good old Idaho Falls! Now, I used to live there, and altough I love my relatives there, I do not miss the city! It is too cold, and too boring. We are then coming back to Utah, where we will spend a week with Adams parents down in Mapleton!

We had a chance to go the open house of the Day Break Temple.....It was really pretty! Odessa did such a great job! She was so reverant and respectful!....Adam did a good job too, and didn't break anything (besides his zipper!- Adams zipper on his slacks broke about five minutes before we were to go to the open house...he held his fly closed with a few saftey pins...hehe! He was not a happy camper!)

Our day ended with having KFC with my father, and buying Adam a new pair of slacks....ones with a working zipper!
